Our Rice Processing & Export Process
AHK Rice operates a complete in-house rice processing facility in Punjab, Pakistan, ensuring quality control at every stage of production. Our end-to-end processing pipeline includes:
Paddy procurement: We source raw paddy directly from trusted local farmers in Punjab’s prime rice-growing belt, ensuring traceability from field to container.
Pre-cleaning : Removal of dust, stones, straw, and field debris using industrial-grade cleaning machines before processing begins.
De-husking (shelling): Separation of the outer husk to produce brown rice, the starting point for all further processing.
Paddy separation: Remaining unprocessed paddy is separated from brown rice and returned for reprocessing, minimising waste and maintaining grade purity.
Whitening and polishing: Bran layers are removed to produce white rice with a smooth, export-grade finish.
Grading and length sorting: Rice is sorted by grain size, length, and quality using precision optical and mechanical graders to ensure specification compliance.
Colour sorting: Advanced colour-sorting technology removes discoloured, broken, or damaged grains, ensuring a visually premium end product that meets international buyer standards.
Silky polishing (optional): An additional polishing pass available for buyers requiring enhanced appearance and premium retail presentation.
Parboiling and Sella processing: Dedicated processing lines for Golden Sella, Creamy Sella, and Parboiled rice variants, each requiring distinct heat and pressure treatment to achieve the correct texture and colour profile.
Controlled drying: Moisture content is monitored and adjusted through controlled drying to meet international storage and export specifications.
Quality inspection: Multi-stage quality checks against international export standards are conducted throughout the entire process, not only at dispatch.
Custom blending : We offer rice blending solutions tailored to buyer budgets and market requirements, helping clients achieve competitive price points without sacrificing quality grade.
